Craft Corner: Pinterest Crafts I WILL Complete (One Day...)

Has there ever been a truer statement?
Hi, my name is Kendyl, and I'm a pinaholic.  #truestorybro  The first step is admitting you have a problem right?

So I, like many of you out there in Pinaholics Anonymous, have the tendency to overpin.  It's pretty much how I am with clothes- I buy clothes, put them in my closet, forget they're there, and by more clothes.  Same with my pins- I pin things, but when I hang them up on my virtual boards, I forget I ever saw them, and pin more.  It's a tragedy, really, because I have fabulous taste.

So I decided to vet through my "Crafty Things" board and find things I want know I can get done soon (please note: soon is defined as "in this lifetime" in this context").

Alright so this source links you to an Etsy shop with tons of adorable Etsy-wares that have been designed to steal all your monies.  But the little caption under my pin (I rarely change my pin-captions.  Price to pay for my superman speed of pinning) says the following:  "Cover a flat cookie sheet ($1 store!) with fabric and get an instant magnet board.  SO easy!"  And because I'm crafty cheap as balls, I would rather attempt to be crafty and make my own super cute, super cheap magnetic boards for all over my house.

Once again this links you to a place to buy this adorable address flowerpot.  However, I think I could figure out a way to make it.  Can't be that hard right?  A little flowerpot, a little paint, badabing, badaboom, address flowerpot.  For way less than 33 dollars.  I probably can't do those scrollies as well as the professional but it is what it is.  I'm crafty, not artistic.  Big difference.

Ok this has to be the most practical pin ever.  (P.S. I have been stalking the blog it came from, The Spotted Fox, and I'm obsessed.  Unfortunately, they stopped posting in Nov. 2012, but they have some great archives).  Anyway, it's a food passport.  You write down all the restaurants you haven't been to, and then when you're wondering where to go for noms, you pick a new place to try.  They also have the genius idea of using color coding stickers (thing 1004 Kendyl is obsessed with=color coding) so you can rate the restaurant and remember how much you liked it.  I actually bought the stuff for this craft on a recent Office Max excursion (I love office supplies btw.  I own a lifetime supply of stickies and paperclips.  I'm like those really intense women from extreme couponers who has a hoarder stash of stuff).  So this craft I have actually made the effort to buy the stuff for, so chances of it being completed just went through the roof.  Plus there are tons of restaurants in Norfolk I wanna go to that I have yet to be.

Alright so this page is in Russian, but that's ok.  I don't know how to knit.  I did know at one point, and knitted squares for a bit, but I don't know how to do anything like this.  Thankfully, my mom does.  So, even though she doesn't speak Russian, she does speak the international language of Yarn (a magical, yet hard to understand language).  So this pin isn't necessarily here for me to craft, but here for me to tell my mom to craft it for me :D  (my mom is a super crafty lady.  Like she's the DIY wall of pinterest.  The things she comes up with rock.  It's a gift that I inherited maybe a quarter of.  So jealous).  That's what moms are for right ;) ?

Cutest idea ever.  Couples can get into ruts, especially if you live together and are both super busy.  Netflix+dinner= all the time.  Which isn't bad at all, but sometimes you want a little excitement and new right?  Enter the date night jar.  These little sticks all have different date ideas on them and are color coded for different types of dates (again with the color coding I know!) Red are expensive/need to be planned dates, dark pink are at home dates, and light pink are away from home but inexpensive/don't require planning.  And she's got some great date ideas for each color.  This is definitely something I wanna do for me and Craig so we can have some fun new experiences :)

So in the interest of my quality of life (and the schoolwork I still need to complete....) I'm capping myself at these four five crafty things I found.  In case you're wondering, yes I originally told myself I would stop at 4 items so I could get some non-pinterest things done.  But then I thought...alright just one more won't hurt.  It's a problem I know.  Anyway, comment below what your favorite crafty pins that you will be doing soon (or thinking about doing anyway.  It's the thought that counts right?).  I'm always down to hear more crafty things to pin and think about doing!
